Hi

Let me first copy an article on Communication and Social Media course from Coady International Institute`s website. Some of you or your friend might be interested to join this course. What you can expect

Social media has been widely accepted and adopted as an effective communications tool by media, business and government. It offers tremendous potential for the non-profit sector, yet is often underused and misunderstood. This hands-on program will provide you with an introduction to social media and current tools such as Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook, YouTube, Flickr, Google, blogging, podcasting and more. This course will examine how social media platforms can be integrated within broader communications strategies to achieve organizational goals and reach audiences.

Facilitators: Denise Davies and Richard Perry

Hey How is going?

I hope everything is super cool.

Last week David Fletcher, Education Programs Manager in Coady International Institute discussed about the learning portfolio. I think education portfolio is highly important that we could make for the benefit of our own. I hope we will use our best of the colourful files that were given for making learning portfolio.

500 Fans

The journey began from 228. Now it’s 500, and target is 1000.

Hoops… what is this, I should say journey will be never ends.

Well, I’m talking about Fans of ‘Coady International Institute’ Page in Facebook. Two weeks before; I was talking with Susan Hawkes, she works in Communication Department in Coady. She told me that she is targeting to reach 1000  fans in facebook. I remember it was 228 fans before. Just after next day I met her and talk about the raising fans. I started visiting Coady Staffs and students, asking them to become the fan of caody page in facebook. Mean time I also requested them to suggest their friends. Today, we reach 500 fans.

Sounds great rite? But the journey is not stopped yet, we have to reach 1000.

In fact this is what my interest is; I mean I’m highly interested in web 2.0 and social media for development. Facebook is one of the web 2.0 and social media tools falls under social networking category. From the couple of years, I started working in the same field. I also have one experience conducting month long online training on how these kinds of new media could be used as advocacy tools in 2008.  So I can talk lot more about these issues. But I’m not going to bore you by lecture on web2.0 and Social Media now.

I just wanted to share this happy moment with you from this blog. Hurrey its 500...

This mush is for today, but make sure you are also the Fan of Caody International Institute in Facebook. I think you know how to do that, even if you don’t know don’t worry just click here and sign in with your facebook account.

C ya

Be happy
